The Note's focus is on real-world examples of environmentally improved office furniture and sustainable work environments. The authors in a previous Note have addressed background issues, guidelines and principles in PRO 27 Environmentally Improved Office Furniture: A Guide to the Key Issues including Specification Guidelines. This Note describes specific products, companies and fit-out projects as a way of elaborating how furniture producers, professional designers and clients have engaged with the practicalities of creating more sustainable products and spaces. By describing and highlighting how environmental factors have been addressed in specific furniture products and fit-out projects, the Note will assist professional designers in their own activities.
